MyLife Lewes sponsored a coach trip for Rotherfield St Martin which is an award winning charity run community centre for older people in Rotherfield near Tunbridge Wells.
Rachel Wood, CEO of Rotherfield St. Martin, thanked My Life Living Assistance in Lewes for their ongoing support and commented:
“We are hugely grateful for your kind donation of £250 towards the transport costs of a trip to London for our members last week. It enabled us to hire a coach to take a group of 50 older folk for an amazing afternoon at the London Children’s Ballet at the Peacock theatre.
These day trips out are very well enjoyed whilst for many providing an opportunity to go somewhere outside the village that can not be achieved on their own. This is a significant part of the work that we do and really helps us achieve our goals of combating isolation and loneliness within older people.
Rotherfield St Martin continues to grow from strength to strength and this donation will help us to develop further and reach our goals for the coming year. It’s an exciting time for us all here at the Charity and I am excited to work with you in partnership.”
